FACILIITES

Our club rooms are stiuated at Piltown Road, Bettystown with a playing surface of seven acres and a 3250sq. ft building complete with all modern facilities available to you. We are currently undertaking an extensive capital investment prgramme and 2008 will see the construction of an artifical training surface available for use by all parishoners.

St Colmcilles GAA Club have installed state of the art floodlights which can be used for intercounty hurling and football. Already renowned as one of the best playing surfaces in Meath, Pairc Ui Ris was a home for home for the Meath Senior Football team in 2007.

We also hosted the Wexford Senior Hurling team in 2007 and as is unique in the GAA, both panels gave freely of their time to train with our young players.

We have also hosted Monaghan's Ulster C'ship training camp, Meath Voactional Schools, DCU, DIT, South Armagh Development Squad and the Meath U14 Development Squad.
Our ambitious capital expenditure programme will see Pairc Ui Ris become one of the best club HQ's in the county.
JOIN THE WINNING COMBINATIONS
St Colmcilles has been one of the most successful underage clubs in Meath over the last 30 or so years - just look at the Achievements Section of this site. In 2007, all our teams reached the latter
stages of their competitions.
We currently have teams at U8,9,10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 18 and 21, and 3 adult teams. We will field our first Ladies Adult team in 2008 after years of underage success. As far as possible we seek to enter two teams into competitions. Coaching for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 10 take place in Pairc Ui Ris every Sunday at 11am from April to October.
Coaching is undertaken by quailified coaches in an environment where fun for all and encouragement are the core values.
ACHIEVEMENTS
The club has received many honours at county and national level. For example,
Club president, Pat O'Neill is a former Chairman of Meath Senior and Minor County Boards and founder of Cumann na Mbunscoil. He was Central Council Delegate for Meath for years and currently is a Member of the CDC and DRA. Former All Stars, All Ireland Winners and International Rules players Bernard Flynn and Robbie O'Malley are 'Cilles legends. The Club are particulary proud of Robbie's achievements with and leadership of the PLAYING FOR LIFE CHARITY and are only too happy to help out at every opportunity
The Sunday Game anlayst and team of the Century defender, respectively have
inspired a generation of players in Piltown. Camin Hall and Hugh Carolan are All Ireland winning minors (1992 and 1990), Mark Whearty, a runner up (2002). Brian Kelly and Ian Millen have represented Ireland in the U17 interantional rules series while Eoin Woods, Ronan Kelly and Graham Reilly are former county captains Leinster, Munster and Ireland Rugby stars Niall Ronan and Shane Monaghan are still involved in the club while Jackser Kavanagh was a selector for Meath's Junior team beaten in the All-Ireland final.

For many years now we have had players on each of the Meath U14, U15, U16, Minor and U21 teams.
The Funtasia sponsored Super league and U10 blitz are the highlight of the
our club's underage year bringing tremondous colour and excitement to Piltown over 4-5 weekends in August. Again this competition is played under our core values of fun for all and encouragement.
