ST COLMCILLES STREET LEAGUE SUCCESS, Fri 25th Sept Saturday, December 12, 2009

On a balmy sunny September evening, last Friday 25th, approximately 90 young boys and girls of St Colmcilles East Meath GFC competed in the finals of the club’s Summer Street League. This was a proud moment for the club as it revived the successful and popular Street Leagues held in years gone by.

Hi Folks

As you may be all aware the St Colmcilles street leagues have played a part in the life of many youngsters who have played football over the past years in the club. While they have been rested for the last few summers a group of committed parents and mentors took up the challenge of the President Mr Pat O’Neill when he spoke at a gathering earlier this year. At the time he mentioned the strength of playing the street leagues, that it brought life to the community and helped foster a possible team tomorrow...

St Colmcilles 2009 Schools Gaelic Coaching Initiative Wednesday, September 09, 2009

The Club are delighted to announce our new initiative in partnership with our 4 local Primary Schools and in conjunction with our sponsors TESCO. It commences on Wednesday, September 9th at our grounds in Piltown. Please see our press release in Events Section.


New Club Summer League Wednesday, September 09, 2009

The Club have organized a mini-tournament that will be run over a two week periodin September; Monday 14th, Thurs 17th, Mon.21st and Friday 25th . There will be two competitions, one will consist of Boys u9 and girls under 10 combined and the second will be u8 boys and u9 girls combined. Games will commence at 7pm each night and will be 15 minutes each half.

On Friday 25th we will have the finals, which will be followed by prize giving and a little party in the club house.

Lucky Gabriella Huban picked the lucky numbers in St Colmcilles East Meath GFC's weekly lotto that netted her €2,100 after only entering the draw for 2 weeks.


All weather synthetic pitch now in use Friday, June 05, 2009

The club acadamy under 6's had the privelage under the tutelage of Keith Loughman and Micky Conlon of being the first to use the new all weather pitch. Plans are being drawn up at present to manage the facility.

National Lá nag Club – Sunday 10th May Tuesday, April 21, 2009

As you all know the association celebrates 125 years in 2009. Sunday 10th May is designated Lá na gClub where all clubs are asked to mark the anniversary by way of a special event.
